1. How do I place an order on GetFood.com.au? Go to getfood.com.au, enter your address, browse available restaurants in your area, add items to your cart, and complete checkout. It’s fast and straightforward.
2. Do I need an account to order? No, you can check out as a guest. Creating an account lets you save your details, view order history, and reorder more easily.
3. What payment methods are accepted? We accept major credit and debit cards, processed securely via Stripe.
4. How do I know which restaurants deliver to me, or offer pickup? Once you enter your address, you’ll see only restaurants that deliver to your location, along with any that offer pickup nearby.
5. How long does delivery or pickup take? Each restaurant shows an estimated delivery or pickup time at checkout, based on distance and the restaurant’s typical preparation time. Times may vary based on kitchen demand.
6. How do I track my order? You’ll receive email updates as your order status changes — confirmed, on its way (with an estimated arrival time), and delivered (or ready for pickup).
7. Can I cancel or change my order? Changes or cancellations are only possible shortly after placing the order, before the restaurant begins preparing it. Contact the restaurant or our support team as soon as possible.
8. What if there’s a problem with my order? If something’s missing, incorrect, or delayed, reach out to the restaurant directly, or contact our support team and we’ll help facilitate a resolution.
9. Are there delivery fees? Delivery fees vary by restaurant and are shown clearly at checkout before you confirm your order. GetFood itself never charges customers any service fee or platform fee.
10. Can I order pickup instead of delivery? Yes, where the restaurant offers pickup, just choose “Pickup” at checkout and go to the restaurant at your estimated ready time.
11. What if I have allergies or dietary restrictions? Many menus list dietary tags (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc.). Contact the restaurant directly for specific allergen questions.
12. Is my payment information secure? Yes. All transactions use Stripe’s encrypted payment processing. We never store your full card details on our servers.
